1. Who we are

Filmora Movie (filmoramovie.duckdns.org) is a movie and TV series discovery platform. We aggregate metadata, watch-provider information, cast/crew data, and official trailers from The Movie Database (TMDB). We do not host, stream, or distribute any video content.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

2.1 When you sign in

Your Google account name and email address, provided by Google after you grant permission via OAuth 2.0.
Your Google profile photo URL (optional, displayed as your avatar).
A unique internal identifier linked to your Google account ID.

2.2 When you use the app

Watchlist entries: TMDB ID, media type (movie/TV), title, and poster image path for each title you save.
Ratings: Your 1–5 star rating for each title you rate, stored against your profile.
Profile preferences: Profile name, chosen avatar color, and kids-mode flag.

2.3 Cookies we set

We do not set advertising cookies, cross-site tracking cookies, or share cookie data with third parties.

2.4 Analytics (opt-in only)

If you opt in to analytics, we collect anonymous page-view counts using a self-hosted or privacy-first analytics tool. No personal identifiers, no cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.

3. What we do NOT collect

Passwords or payment card numbers
Your viewing history on external streaming services
Location data
Device fingerprinting data
Third-party advertising identifiers

4. How we use your data

To authenticate you and maintain your session
To display and sync your watchlist and ratings across your devices
To personalise profile names and avatar colors
To improve the service (if analytics opt-in is granted)

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Third-party services

TMDB API — all movie/TV metadata, images, and provider data is fetched from themoviedb.org. TMDB's Privacy Policy applies to their services.
Google OAuth — sign-in only. Google's Privacy Policy governs the sign-in flow.
YouTube embeds — official trailers are embedded via YouTube's nocookie domain (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube's Privacy Policy applies.
Watch providers — provider logos and deep-link URLs are provided by JustWatch via TMDB. Clicking a provider link takes you to a third-party site governed by that site's own privacy policy.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account exists. You can request full deletion by:

Using the "Delete account" button on your Profile page, which permanently removes all your data from our database.
Emailing privacy@filmoramovie.com with a deletion request.

We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Rectify inaccurate data
Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
Data portability (export your watchlist)
Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Movie and TV data, images, and watch provider information are provided byThe Movie Database (TMDB).
